What Makes Our Pastured Chicken Different
On our farm, chickens live outdoors in mobile coops during spring through fall, rotating through regenerative pastures where they forage naturally for insects, grasses, and plants. This isn't the "free-range" you see on conventional labels. Our birds live outside with space to express their natural behaviors. When Indiana winters arrive, they have warm shelters with access to pasture as weather allows.
Unlike ruminants like our cattle that thrive on grass alone, chickens are omnivores requiring balanced nutrition. While they forage extensively on pasture for insects and plants, they also need healthy grains to stay naturally robust. That's why our pasture-raised chicken is supplemented with wholesome non-GMO feed, and not strictly grass-fed like our beef.
