Our Farm Partner Promise

Over the past decade, we've meticulously chosen farmers and partners to join us in the shared goal of regenerating soils and saving the family farm. These are not just co-laborers in farming; many have become longtime friends, actively joining hands with us to advance our mission.

Each of our core partners is rigorously vetted to ensure proper adherence to our standards. We do this by conducting onsite farm visits and providing group training to teach principles of holistic grazing management and land stewardship.

While our farmer relationships are established through trust, every farmer and supplier must agree to sign the Seven Sons Family of Farms Affidavit, committing to upholding our standards and maintaining animal care records for review.

100% Grass-fed & Grass-finished Cattle

Cattle are never fed grain or grain by-products. They get nourishment from grass and other forages from pastures that are never treated with synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.
During the winter season when grasses are less abundant and nutrient-rich, we supplement their diet with hay grown during the previous Spring-Fall.
Cattle are never fed preventative antibiotics, drugs, or artificial hormones.

Rochester, Indiana

Roger is a third-generation farmer who owns and operates land regeneratively near Rochester, Indiana, where he has raised beef full-time since 1993.

Roger left a career as a Civil & Mechanical Engineer to come back to his family’s farm to make a positive difference in agriculture and begin a new legacy for his family.

What inspires Roger each day is knowing that his farm operates as a sustainable, life-enhancing, natural system and that when the day is done, he will have made the world a better place, even as he produces healthy food for a hungry world.
Perry Farm

Wakarusa, Indiana

Tom and Gina Perry raise a herd of cattle in Wakarusa, IN, that includes primarily Red Angus, Hereford, and Ranger genetics.

Tom handles most of the farm's planning and operational activities, while Gina handles the purse strings and taxes and occasionally functions as a farm hand. All significant decisions are made jointly.

What keeps them inspired each day is the feeling of responsibility to be the best stewards and caretakers they can be, and to develop the trust of both the land and the animals to that end.
Hoosier Grass-fed Beef

Attica, Indiana

Hoosier Grassfed Beef operation is currently comprised of Dan and Barbie DeSutter and two of their sons Dylan and Damon, where they raise Red and Black Angus.

Their focus on soil health started in the 80's, but as new technology has come about, they've shifted their thoughts on what is capable on their land. They want to pass more fertile land to the next generation.

What inspires them each day is understanding that the way they manage livestock can improve the land. They strive to raise products which are a consistent, healthy product that each customer is happy with.

Ethical Pasture Raised Chickens

100% free from drugs, antibiotics, hormones, and GMOs.
From early May through late October, our birds rotate to fresh pasture daily, providing a diverse diet of grass, legumes, wildflowers, and all the worms and bugs they can find.
When it becomes too cold for birds to live outside, our chickens primarily live in warm, indoor barns with continued outdoor access when the weather allows. The birds are given 10-20% more space beyond what organic standards require and their protective housing has windows to let in plenty of natural light, allowing our birds to wake up with the natural sunrise.

Joe Koopson

Kalamazoo, MI

Joe and his wife Adele along with their 2 young children own and operate Joe’s Farm LLC.

Joe has always had a passion for farming. By the age of 15, he started Joe’s Farm LLC. Joe has been intentionally focused on raising meat chickens on pasture. That focus has allowed Joe to grow and become one of the largest producers of pasture-raised chicken in the Midwest.

As Joe’s farm and team has grown, it has allowed him to expand into raising turkeys and grass-fed cattle.

Joe has a heart for learning and education. He currently serves on the board for APPPA, a conference that is all about educating and learning from each other.
Mark & Kara Miller

Topeka, IN

Mark and Kara own a 80-acre farm in Topeka, IN. They along with there 6 children raise grass fed sheep, pastured pigs, grass fed cattle and pastured chicken! Its safe to say that there family is definitely passionate about raising animal on pasture!

Mark is not afraid to try new things. In fact, he never hesitated when we asked him if he would like to raise meat chickens for us.
We are thrilled to be able to support Mark and his family as they strive to raise the healthiest food possible.
LaBelle Patrimoine

Lancaster, PA

As a sixth-generation poultry farmer, Mike Charles, was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. From a young age, growing up around local farmers, he had a dream to start his own chicken farm. When it came time to do it, he had one goal in mind, which was to raise and produce the most beautiful chickens he could find.

In this journey to raising the most beautiful chickens, Mike turned to France, where he learned about the La Belle Rouge, a heritage growing practice known around the world. He sourced an exclusive, new breed that is naturally slow-growing, taking about twice as long to reach maturity than it does for conventional birds. They are also vigorous and active, climbing on hay bales and perches, and foraging each morning

Pasture Raised Heritage Pigs

Our heritage breed hogs are raised in open fields and pastures where they are free to bathe in mud for proper exfoliation and hygiene. They forage around timbers and supplemented with a NON-GMO Corn and Soy-based grain feed that they require as non-ruminant animals.
They are provided safe overhead protective shelters during birthing and for extreme winter weather avoidance.
Our pigs never receive drugs, antibiotics, growth promotants, or GMOs.
They are NEVER exposed to crates, cages, or feedlots.

LaGrange, IN

Lavern and Lavera Lehmen live near LaGrange, IN, where they have been raising pigs for the past 8 years. Lavern and Lavera have 2 children who actively help out with taking care of the pigs and other chores on the farm.

Lavern also works full-time for his brother in construction. Learning to build things in the construction world has been a handy skill set to have on the farm.

Lavern and his family have a passion for taking care of animals and striving to raise the healthiest pigs possible.
Freeman and Pauline Miller

Shipshewana, IN

The Millers are a young family, but they enjoy operating a diverse farm. From having their own milk cow to raising seed corn, baling hay, and raising pigs, there’s not a lot of downtime.

Over the past few years, Freeman has seen the benefits that the pigs have brought to their land.

Even though pigs are the newest addition to the farm, Freeman and his family are enjoying the challenge of learning how having pigs on their farm not only benefits their land but is helping to reshape our food system.

Freeman and Pauline look forward to the day when their young children are old enough to begin helping with and participating in the day-to-day farming activities.
Elva & Delilah Miller

Centreville, MI

Elva and his family have been raising pigs on their farm for many years. In fact Elva’s father-in-law raised pigs on the same farm before Elva and Delilah took over the home farm.

Elva and his family have extensive experience raising pigs outside in open pastures and woods.

On their farm, Elva and her family also raise 100% grass-fed beef that rotates on the same pasture that the hogs roam through.
Elva brings a ton of experience and knowledge as a partnering farm and we are honored to be able to support the future of his operation.
