We make our grass-fed unsalted butter for home cooks and bakers who want complete control in the kitchen. Made from cream from cattle that graze regenerative pastures, this single-ingredient butter lets you decide exactly how much salt goes into every dish.
This butter comes from one ingredient: grass-fed sweet cream. We produce it during the summer months when our cows graze on lush pastures, and their milk is at its richest.
Along with our trusted partner farms, we raise cattle on pasture with no grain finishing. The cows' grass-only diet creates cream with better nutrition, and we never use hormones, antibiotics, or steroids. In our experience with regenerative farming, we've seen how grazing practices improve soil health while producing superior cream.
Grass-fed unsalted butter contains higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) compared to grain-fed alternatives. You also get fat-soluble vitamins, including A, D, E, and K2. The grass diet creates a better fat profile in the finished product.
Unsalted butter gives you complete control over seasoning in your recipes. Adjust salt to your preference in delicate pastries, compound butters, and any dish where you want clean, rich flavor as your base. With no added salt or preservatives, it also works for people limiting sodium in their diets. You can season every meal exactly how you want, from morning eggs to evening vegetables.
The main difference is flexibility. With unsalted, you decide how much salt your dish needs. Salted butter adds convenience for spreading on toast or finishing vegetables, but in baking, that pre-added salt can throw off measurements. You can always add salt to unsalted butter (about 1/4 teaspoon per stick), but you can't remove it from salted butter.

Growing up in Michigan and the surrounding Great Lakes, I have eaten my fair share of fish! After marrying Bruce, my consumption of seafood dwindled a bit, as he’s not as keen on it as I am.
