Our goal

To provide the peace of mind that comes from having a direct relationship with a farmer

There's a reason cooks have simmered pork bones for generations. Our pasture-raised heritage breed hogs produce marrow-rich bones with the collagen and depth of flavor that make every pot worth the effort.

Versatile Enough for Any Kitchen

You might be surprised how versatile pork bones can be. Use them for a classic broth base for soups and stews, or go all in on a long-simmered tonkotsu-style ramen broth. Roast them first to develop a deeper flavor before simmering, or use a pressure cooker if you're short on time. Adding a splash of apple cider vinegar helps draw out minerals during the cooking process.

Beyond bones and broth, our pastured pork sausage and pork ribs bring that same rich flavor to everything from weeknight dinners to weekend cookouts.

Pasture-Raised Pork Bones Built for Broth

On our farm, heritage breed hogs live outdoors on regenerative pastures, expressing natural behaviors year-round. In our experience, this produces bones with exceptional marrow content and a richer flavor profile. The collagen runs deep, and when you slow-simmer these bones, it converts to gelatin. That gives your broth a satisfying body and depth that makes it worth the wait.

Unlike certified organic labels that don't always tell the full story of how an animal was raised, our heritage breed hogs are ethically raised their entire lives, without antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs. No shortcuts, ever, and it shows in every package. Our open-door policy means you're always welcome to visit and see how we raise our hogs firsthand.

Common Questions About Our Pork Bones

Pork bones are prized for making bone broth, soups, and stews. Slow-simmer them for a rich, savory base, or roast marrow bones and serve them as an appetizer.
Pasture-raised pork bones come from hogs raised on open pasture without antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs. Our heritage breed hogs have space to root, forage, and express natural behaviors. In our experience, these conditions produce bones with exceptional marrow content and a richer, more complex flavor than conventionally raised options. We focus on ethical farming and letting the quality speak for itself.
Start by roasting your pork bones in the oven to develop a deeper flavor. Transfer them to a large pot or slow cooker, cover with cold water, and add a splash of apple cider vinegar. Simmer on low heat for 12 to 24 hours. Strain the broth, season to taste, and store in the refrigerator or freezer.

We don't carry certified organic pork bones, but here's some context worth knowing. While organic pork must meet certain USDA standards, the label doesn't provide the full picture of how an animal was raised. These heritage breed hogs are raised on pasture, free from antibiotics, hormones, and GMOs. Our farm is open to visitors anytime, and you're always welcome to come see how we raise our hogs for yourself.

Similarly, hogs are omnivores that need more than grass to stay healthy, so the term “grass-fed pork” doesn't apply the way it does to cattle. For 100% grass-fed options, our grass-fed beef bones are a great place to start.

Heritage breed hogs are raised on open pasture, where they develop at a natural pace with room to root and forage. Unlike hogs bred for mass production and rapid growth, heritage breeds are selected for hardiness and quality.
