Buttermilk Ranch Chicken Drumsticks
I could eat chicken every day, and this recipe is no exception. The best part, it's simple and takes only 30 minutes to bake! The end result is a flavourful and tender drumstick.

  • Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • (2 TBS) Grass-fed Butter
  • (3 cups) Buttermilk
  • (1 packet) Ranch Seasoning
  • (2 TBS) Salt
  • (2 TBS) Ground Black Pepper
  • (1 pkg) Chicken Drumsticks

Directions

  1. Allow the drumsticks to marinade in buttermilk overnight before baking. Do this by combining the drumsticks and buttermilk in either an airtight container, or a plastic bag. I also add in salt and ground black pepper. This step is completely optional, but I do recommend it if you have the time - it makes all the difference. If you do decide to skip this step, simply dredge each drumstick in buttermilk before transferring to a baking sheet.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. After marinading or dredging each drumstick in buttermilk, transfer to the baking sheet in evenly spaced rows. Season each side with pre-made ranch seasoning from a packet. Or, make your own by combining salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, dried parsley, and dried chives.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, rotating drumsticks half way through, for an even cook. Once cooked through, brush with melted butter and season with a bit more ranch seasoning. Enjoy!
