Sweet and Smoky Pork Sausage Pizza

Prep Time: 30 minutes | Cook Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2 - 4

 

Pizza Sauce:

10 oz of Orange Marmalade

1 - Large Organic Sweet Yellow Onion

1 - 2 tbs of Organic / Raw Butter

1 - tbs of Raw Honey

A pinch of Raw Salt

 

Ingredients:

1 - pack of SSF Pork Sausage

1 - pack of Naan Bread (2 in a pack)

2 - cups of Shredded Mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup of Gorgonzola cheese

Fresh Rosemary

 

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees

 

Preparation:

Step 1 - To make the pizza sauce, slice up the onion and sauté in butter until caramelized. Add a pinch of salt. When close to finished, drizzle the raw honey over the onions and continue to cook until the onions have a golden, slightly browned appearance. Next add the orange marmalade and stir to incorporate. Once done, cool the sauce slightly and puree in a food processor and set aside.

Step 2 - Grill or smoke the SSF Pork Sausages until cooked through and slightly charred. Slice and set aside.

Step 3 - Place the Naan crust on a baking sheet and assemble the pizza: Sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, gorgonzola cheese crumbles, and fresh rosemary

Step 4 - Place Pizza(s) in the oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes, or until the doneness of your liking is achieved

 

Serve and enjoy!!!

 

Chef's Tip: Naan crust is a great time saver, no need to make fresh pizza dough. They come plain or flavored to add an additional layer of flavor. They can usually be found in your grocery stores deli section.
