Help us rebuild an orphan home in Nepal!
Posted by Blaine Hitzfield
As a followup to last week's newsletter about our friends in Nepal I'd like to share about a very unique opportunity to help with a relief project we are involved with.
I don't think I will ever be able to forget the day just less than 3 months ago when I walked into a small orphan home in Katmandu Nepal and looked into the faces of some of the most vulnerable children in the world. These children came from the poorest mountain villages in Nepal. Because of the work and ministry provided by our friend Pastor Tej Rokka these children were given hope of a better life.
Unfortunately these children have suffered a major setback. In the event of the recent earthquake this orphan home has been severely damaged to the point it is no longer livable for the children.
Over 40 children depended upon this orphan home as their sole means of survival. We are determined to see this orphan home rebuilt and we're offering you the opportunity to help.
If you are able to make a donation we will gladly match your gift dollar for dollar.
The story behind this orphan home... and how Seven Sons became involved.
Several years ago Pastor Tej Rokka (founder of this orphan home and pictured below on far left) came and visited our farm in Roanoke Indiana with the vision of starting his own farm in Nepal to help feed the children and generate income for the orphan home. It was only a few months ago that we traveled to this orphan home to visit the children and to help evaluate Tej's current farming projects. Upon our visit we became personally aware of the sacrificial efforts that Tej's family and staff are making to help these vulnerable children.
We want you to know that Seven Sons will work directly with Forgotten Children Worldwide to administer donated funds. Your donation will be used to provide relief funds to Pastor Tej in order to rebuild the orphan home and meet any immediate needs he, his family, and the children have. Additional funds will be used to provide assistance to other individuals in the Kathmandu area.
