Goats Hard at Work!
Goats have a unique ability to prune an area thick with bushes and briar patches and transform the landscape into usable grazing land.
The conventional method of clearing woodland of invasive and undesirable plants is to use mechanical machinery and/or spray lethal herbicides. Both options are very costly and destructive to soil health.
However, we're using these critters to simply carry out their God-given purposes to help make our land more productive for years to come. The last two photos in this post are a before/after example of just how effective these animals are at what they do.
These goats (Breed: Kiko) are used for meat vs milk production, but our plan is to breed and grow this initial herd with a goal to have animals ready for processing by Fall of 2019.
